WWII US M1 Helmet Swivel Bale
Item: WWII2828

Late war M1 helmet.  Has a front seam, manganese rim, swivel bales.  Chin straps are khaki sew-on with darkened brass fittings.  Period repaint is brushed on dark OD which is over the original cork aggregate layer.  Heat number is covered by the repaint.  Has some surface oxidation to the inner crown.  Liner is a Westing House.  Has all the original webbing intact and in very good condition.  No sweatband or nape strap.  Has a post war leather chinstrap.  Has the original paint on the exterior.  Very clean.
